We bought this to replace the metal gate that was at the base of our stairs for our 2 dogs. I just want the panels to fold both ways. Our big dog pushes him with his head FOMO ;)

This barrier is very easy to set up and easy to move when needed. I have a little puppy that I have to take care of all the time and this has been very helpful.

This works pretty well but our 3 pound pup found how easy it was to shove them out of the way fairly quickly. It's easy to move and place where needed, but in some places it's easier to move the page if it's not fixed by something else.

My gate arrived broken. I can still use it so I won't be returning it but this is disappointing. There's a chance yours will break too, as it's packaged in a way that doesn't provide adequate protection. It's ideal for dogs up to 20 pounds for stairs or a small enclosed space. It is not difficult and looks very nice.

It's so much easier to use that those who walk between the door and you either have to step over it or move it. This acts like a small gate that you can open and close. I have a 12 pound Pekingese. I would not recommend this for a larger dog or someone who likes to jump on things. You will be able to get through it. This is more true of dogs that stop when something is put in front of them.

I needed something to block the stairs so my old dog wouldn't try to climb them again. Their hind legs can no longer support their weight and it is dangerous for them to walk down stairs. This gate is more of a mental barrier than a physical one. Our staircase has a wall on one side and a round railing on the other so the airtight gate doesn't work and I didn't want to install any hardware to make this work great.
