After we put him in his favorite spot, our 16 year old senior cat with end stage kidney disease started baking cookies. In the blink of an eye he decided everything was fine and knowing his sun would soon be gone, he climbed right there. This is a large, spacious bed that seems very attractive to cats. I'm sure our 16 year old will love the electric heater.

Our little chihuahua needed surgery and I knew the recovery would be slow. She is always cold and this bed was soft and comfortable for her while resting after her surgery. She loves it so much she doesn't want to get up! ha ha. It really helped her stay calm, rest and recover from her surgery. She also has back problems and I hope the warmth will ease her back pain. She ALWAYS sleeps in it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought this bed for my elderly cat because she is always so cold. The heating pad doesn't actually heat the bed, so we removed that part. My cat still loves the bed and spends all day in it. My 15 year old girl is starting to show signs of arthritis in her hindquarters. I thought it would be great to relieve her joints with gentle warmth. She likes the bed very much and immediately warmed up. The heating pad adds just the right amount of warmth to keep her super comfortable. She likes both sides, top and bottom. My senior cat has kidney failure with anemia, weight loss and low body temperature. Since it was November I did everything I could to keep him warm. The picture that this is a round bed and that the sides fold down is misleading. The sides don't fold easily to make this bed round. The problem is that it looks more like a rectangle, making it difficult for my cat to curl up into a ball.
