Received this when we rescued a starving mother and her four puppies. We developed a feeding plan for her and the little ones and that was part of it. They were able to recover within a few months. If we had to do it again I would definitely keep it on schedule, I felt it was invaluable to her long term health and recovery.

Our dog has IMHA and we asked our vet about a way to make red blood cells without boosting his immune system (you can see why if you have an IMHA dog). Anyway, this product was great. This is a slow and steady race win such a product - don't expect instant results. But we left him with it for about 8 months and I definitely think it helped.

I can't confirm the taste as I bought this for my cat and I'm not used to tasting his products. What can I say though, I have a 16 year old house cat who eats ALL DAY and is still losing weight.
