I wish it would work but my poor dogs are small and so slippery none of them could grab them. They're strong, light and thick - unfortunately, they're almost perfect down to the thread. Even my sporting dog had a lot of trouble getting up and my dog with a bad knee had no hope of climbing them. ANY type of finish or texture would help make these 5 star products, but they are too smooth for any small pet.

It is easy to carry and easy to fold and unfold. I have an 80lb labrador and it works great. She is too old to jump into the back of an SUV and easily pulled onto the ramp. It took her a weekend of practice to get used to the feeling. The descent is easy. It's a bit more difficult going up. It's a little slippery. With one run she reaches the end. Adding carpet will interfere with collapsing the telescope, so I'm still debating what to do. I would buy this again.

We trained Betsy by putting her on the lay floor . I put a leash on her and tempted her with treats. So for the first week, I let her run on it several times a day. She only paced when I held her on the leash but that's okay. This will be my salvation. We drive from southern California to northern Arizona a few times a month. And we old folks stop at every rest stop every hour. So Betsy is in and out of the car a lot. It's easy enough for me to lift. I highly recommend it.

I have an Aussie and she was jumping off the ladder the whole time. I flipped it in case she was unhappy with something. She stepped on him again and slipped. PLUS, the ramp closed and fell to the garage floor. Another downside is that it doesn't sit in the door or on the seat at all. I can't place it in the area in front of the seat and between the door. Can't put it on the seat because it's too short and gives the dog a bad angle to use it. Very good weight, very light. I was disappointed…
