Trust the reviews that tell you it's a smelly, cheap piece of junk! And by smelly I mean it really stinks! Don't try to grab it by the handle, even if it's empty, it won't hold.

I read reviews that said the lid didn't hold up, but I heeded that warning. No! You can get the lid to make a clicking sound, but that doesn't stop it from bouncing when the cat comes out of the box. Great price but terrible value. I would return it if my cats didn't go to the toilet in it. :-/

This would be a GREAT travel and pet cat box if the top and bottom stayed together! I've had it for a month which is travel related and so far two clips have broken and the top and bottom clips don't match along the entire rim. You need to find another sturdier crate - if you never move it, it's a great crate. Otherwise look for a model with stronger clips/clasps.

This cat kennel is great for small spaces. Mainly keeps odors at bay, but I've found that a lot of this depends heavily on the ability to control the smell of the litter, how often the box is cleaned, and how smelly cat poop is (can be a lot smellier with a sick kitten!) The downside The thing about this particular box is that it didn't come with a bucket attachment as shown in the picture. I had this feature on another box and it's really handy. 'Top latch' will not latch. The plastic inside the hood is so sharp that it can be dangerous for the kitten and people when scooping/changing the filler. Also, this item was advertised with a hook on the side to hang a dustpan, but there isn't one. The plastic is cheap and I can see how easily the "lock-off" valves break. The only good thing about this tray is the soft flap door. But that's not enough for our new kitten. i give it back Would definitely not recommend.

This brand somehow managed to create a closed tray that doesn't smell after the first use. I used a similar tray and hood combo from PetSmart and not only did it smell almost immediately, but after about a year of use the bottom cracked and pee covered my entire (fortunately linoleum) floor.
