Before buying this product I took my two kittens to the vet in the box they come home in and they didn't like it so I have them both housed when i got them are here and had no problems, they fit perfectly and are five months old. A 10 pound dog or cat would not feel comfortable in this cage. My 10kg dog doesn't even fit in it. Luckily it's not for her. I bought this cage for my 5 year old dog who is only 3 pounds. She has to step sideways to enter the door, as the door is fixed in such a way that its rear end protrudes into the door frame when the door is open. The color of this box is fairly medium pink and pastel pink. The thickness of the plastic on the bottom (medium pink) half is quite thin and fairly flimsy. This box lists a pet up to 10 pounds, but I would not feel comfortable putting an animal over 5 pounds in this box. It's very small.
