The name should indicate that it uses batteries. Of all the collars I've bought, this is the first to be battery operated. I like how it gets louder when they bark, but if I change one setting, everyone else goes to that #. And you can't make beep, vibration and shock. Just vibrate, pop, beep and vibrate, beep and pop.

As soon as I put batteries in I knew it would help. It responded to my own voice and vibrated. I put it on my dog and let him out in the backyard. I watched him go about his usual routine of running from one neighbor's fence to another's fence, looking for the dogs they were employing. Needless to say, she got over it.

Terrible product. I ordered two of these for my dogs and they keep turning off when the dogs aren't barking and randomly switching from vibrating to shocking and shocking dogs for no reason! They constantly move away from noises other than a dog barking, even when hung up and put away. I do not recommend! From now on I will stick with PetSafe.

I bought two of these. Use one on a mini dachshund and the other on a large boxer puppy. None of them work well. Both still bark frequently.
