I have never used a toothbrush or toothpaste on my 2 year old. And she likes the taste of peanut butter, and I think it works really well because everything is new. I tell her it's fun.

My boys love the taste of this toothpaste! You have their overwhelming approval! I only wish the tube size was a bit bigger as they like to lick the end of the tube for fun!

A finger brush is probably easier to use on small/toy breeds, but not practical on my German Shepherd. It's a little bulky though and if you have little fingers like me you might have trouble pushing it!
