Do not worry. The middle one doesn't match the door.

I ordered a Petsafe Door and a Petsafe Wall Extension, but the Wall Extension did not fit the door. Since I also had to try to attach it, I had to open and close the metal flanges, which eventually broke off. I ended up building a wooden "crate" or tunnel through the wall to attach the dog door.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

necessary thing! on Cats

This is my second dog door from this company and I've always needed an extension tunnel. It fit perfectly in my previous home. In my new house, this is also not suitable due to the styrofoam insulation. I could use 1/4 to 1/2 inch more. We've resorted to duct tape on the inside and the dogs are okay with it and it's durable.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Good but not great

I like the cat door and although my cats .

I love the cat door and although my cats aren't hugh I would recommend going up a size because when you put it through the wall it looks like a cat walking through a tunnel . I think if I have a bigger one they wouldn't be so reluctant to use it because I think they feel closed off going through it

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Worked well for us with cat flaps

We installed our PetSafe Door PetSafe Wall Entry Aluminum Pet Door with Telescoping Tunnel, Pet Door for Dogs and Cats, Large, for pets up to 100 lbs. ) through a wall, so we needed this extension. It works fairly well but there is no gasket between the extension and the door set. We used heavy duty tape to seal where the inside and outside of the door frame overlap with the extension.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Overpriced / not a good product

I bought this because the dog door wasn't wide enough and there was a gap between the pieces and I was concerned that (we have 4 small dogs) one of the dogs might get hurt walking through a dog door, with the possibility of a tail, ear or nail getting caught in the gap. That's why I bought this product. And I even spoke to a rep from the company that sold this product. The product does not solve this problem at all and I feel like this is a terrible product that I overpaid for. It costs $37 and

Pros
  • Excellent design

Install was larger than I planned

I installed this in a standard 2x4 exterior wall and there are a few issues with this unit. already folded in the middle with bulges outwards. Strange, but not the end of the world. The second problem is that when you create a shape based on the holes you cut, it will be larger than the hole you actually need to cut based on the template that came with the dog door itself. This means you now have to oversize the hole just to fit the wall OR you can do what I did and bend it again after taking…
