Works great until it turns off.

We love these collars, they are essential where we live as we don't need a fence, but we've had two of these collars for a little over a year and both stopped working. We only replace one of these because our golden retriever is very laid back and only needs to wear it once a month and thinks he wears it all the time. Our German Shepherd checks it every day to make sure the battery is low, so we really need it for that! I would still give more stars because it's great EXCEPT it's expensive to…

but it is amazing! My new puppies and 2 year old

Hope this review helps anyone considering this system and collar - I was really scared of getting a wireless system but it's amazing! My new puppies and 2 year old learned quickly. I wasn't expecting much but I like how easy it is to set up and use. They are easy to use, low maintenance, they have been working for more than a month and have not had to change batteries. I would recommend this system to everyone. The only thing I would change is the cost of the system and each collar. I spent…

Good fencing but tampering is a problem

Fencing installation took longer than expected. I would put up flags where the alarm goes off. He will then come back to check to find out that he will "change" in many areas for some reason. Sometimes up to 3 feet! Dogs cannot wear collars indoors as there seems to be something interfering with the signal in every room. So it's pretty much useless if you want to protect dogs with collars if they jump out the door when a child (or anyone else) enters or exits the house. This is a decent fence…

PERFECT if you move a lot! Lasts for several years.

I purchased the PetSafe system in May 2011. The collar went out of service in 2016. I don't know why it failed. Roughly six years of use for around $22 a year isn't bad considering we can take this system with us wherever we travel. Here is the system: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001ZWZ8O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You must replace the batteries every 30 days. It costs about $8-$10 every two months since it comes in a two-pack. This particular pack cost the same as the…

20 days after the warranty period has expired.

later It makes perfect sense that PetSafe only offers a one-year warranty. A year and 20 days after purchasing this product, both collars suddenly had problems, as well as the transmitter. I rebooted the whole system and PetSafe told me the transmitter is in my kitchen and I have to go through concrete walls. It didn't matter that I moved it from the middle of my concrete house to the window, the concrete was now a problem. PetSafe says appliances are now a problem too, although the transmitter
