This car seat is perfect for our 2.5kg terrier pup. On his first sling ride, we put one of his favorite blankets and Kong on his bottom. He immediately curled up and started napping in it and had enough room in the belt/collar clip to sit up straight and pop out of the top. I use this carrier for car rides with a poncho, my little Veshi. When he's sitting or standing his head sticks out at the top so the stretcher can't be closed, but when he's lying down there's plenty of room.
