Description of 🌰 Peugeot Paris u’Select Salt and Pepper Mill Set: Adjustable Beechwood Grinder - Chocolate, 7in (2/23461)

ICONIC MILLS — The chocolate-colored Paris mills enhance the flavors of the meals that you create. Precise and even grinding are the key words for this emblematic pair of mills by Peugeot. Engineered and manufactured in France. U’SELECT SETTINGS — Our patented system helps you select your desired grind. Twist to create your precise balance of flavor through six settings, from extra fine to very coarse. The two-stage grinding mechanism first effortlessly cracks and then grinds the peppercorns and salt to the desired coarseness. PRECISION GRIND — Through two centuries of experience, we have expertly engineered each mill and mechanism specifically for the consistency and shape of peppercorns and salt crystals. Make sure to fill each one with the correct spice for optimum use. We make the gear mechanism from stainless steel that is treated to prevent corrosion and rust. ENHANCE FLAVOR — The classic mechanism brings out the depth of each seasoning. Salt makes vegetables tastier and balances other flavors. Finely ground pepper will bring out its spice, while a coarser grind intensifies the flavor. Find your Peugeot moment and enjoy the art of French living with our instruments of taste. READY TO SEASON — Our salt mills come partially filled with Cristaux de sel blanc d'Allemagne, a dry white salt from Germany, and our pepper mills with Tan Hoi black pepper from Vietnam (refill cubes are available from Peugeot). Fill with peppercorns (max size 1⁄4-inch/6mm) and dry salt only (max size 1⁄6-inch/4mm) — do not use sea salt.

Exactly as promised once

I have had a bad experience with used Revain products but these grinders although used (they still had rock salt and peppercorns in them) appear to work normally and are in very good condition Constitution.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Serious grinders that are far superior to others

This is a serious line of grinders that I hope to have for many years to come and that can adjust the grind easily. The only thing I wish there was a simple color stripe added so we can easily tell the S from the P. (I added mine.)

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No power

It is very nice!

Expensive but very nice coffee grinders. They're fairly easy to fill (which is good since they don't hold much product). LOVE LOVE LOVE having so many easy to change settings for the perfect grind. Set to 1 to chop the peppers on top of the eggs and 5 to chop the lettuce. Very easy. Good quality, fast delivery, very glad we bought it.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • No paint needed

My life has changed forever

No. Truth. You are so amazing. I have had many coffee grinders over the years but these are great. They look great in my kitchen, the size selector is VERY useful, I can grind salt fine enough for popcorn or coarse enough for finishing, the pepper size selector is also useful if you like different types of grinds for different things. I really like how smooth it grinds, it also produces a lot of ground product with little effort (try a cheap plastic coffee grinder and you'll see what I mean).

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Big and bulky

I definitely expected more.

The salt mill is fine. However, I expected a lot more from a pepper mill, especially given the price. Very little power when set to the coarsest grind. And sometimes it barely comes out so it has to be shaken/pounded to produce it. These settings also require too much muscle power. It's ok for a shot or two, but if you need a lot of pepper it's almost "carpal tunnel" time. And finally, one shortcoming that both mills have in common: the setting is at the very bottom, where instinct tells you to

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

I only have two complaints: 1. The top handles can come loose if you turn the top the wrong way. Also, choosing a grind size on the bottom quite loosens or compresses the whole build. It would be nice if the top handle didn't depend on the grind of the bottom one. You just have to make sure that you set the smallest grind size first when tightening. 2. Overtime tend to collect ground pepper and salt in the locker where I keep them. That wouldn't be a problem if they were sitting and we were…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

Good product but the bottom is broken. still works!

This is a very good product, but with one downside that I will briefly mention. These matching coffee grinders are easy to adjust, grind flawlessly and cut a fine figure in the kitchen or on the table. We've been using them for several months with no problems. Then unfortunately one fell off the counter onto our tiled floor. The sharpener still works well, but the lower part of the wood is thin and fragile, with a piece broken off (see photo). I glued it back on but a few months later it fell…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
