The salt mill is fine. However, I expected a lot more from a pepper mill, especially given the price. Very little power when set to the coarsest grind. And sometimes it barely comes out so it has to be shaken/pounded to produce it. These settings also require too much muscle power. It's ok for a shot or two, but if you need a lot of pepper it's almost "carpal tunnel" time. And finally, one shortcoming that both mills have in common: the setting is at the very bottom, where instinct tells you to grip with a hand that doesn't twist. So it can slip out of the selected cut. It takes some time to get used to. All in all, I don't think things are that great. Definitely not worth the money.
