I know it costs more than you would pay for a pepper mill but you paid for what you get and it is a wonderful grinder. I can adjust the screw on top to get just as much pepper as small or large. love it

Really well made pepper mill. Looks great, feels great, but a little disappointed that loosening or tightening the tension doesn't adjust the grind type. Either coarser or finer - it's always a fairly fine grind. My only minor complaint.

The mill is excellent. I bought the 8 3/4" and it's comfortable in my hand. I like the vintage look and the classic seems less prone to breakage than the U-Select. The only downside would be that the Peugeot box comes in a was in poor condition, but the mill did its job.

Was extremely disappointed with the pepper mill. He only grinds one level. I bought it because I saw the exact same thing in the store and it was different roughness. I would send it back but my husband threw away the packaging. Not good quality at all. I have two others of the same brand and love them.

A classic heirloom kitchen accessory that adds utility and style to any foodie's tool arsenal. My old version served reliably for decades, but be aware that wood changes consistency as it ages, while steel screws do not. As you age, you may need a little more care. But it's worth it. if you appreciate the tradition of its design and use. Bought a few for my closest friends.👍

Nice pepper grinder! Durable and well made. No plastic parts. The product we received was an apparent return. The box it came in was already opened and assembled. The grinder turned out to be used - ground pepper powder floated in the box, and only 5-6 peppercorns remained in the grinder, they were already used up, so we had to buy new ones and stock up.

Antique finish is very nice - aged tastefully - coffee grinder first class, grind setting perfect. I previously bought a Le Creuset grinder and sent it back because I didn't know it was plastic! This Peugeot is the clear winner in terms of quality and feel. Initially I was interested in using a ceramic grinder but although this Peugeot has a steel grinder I have no regrets.

I've only had this grinder for a week. Time will tell if this continues. But right now, this thing is really turning the peppers! It's also easy to hold and easy to rotate. Of course, as with all peppermills of this design, you'll have to fiddle with the nut at the top to get the grind you want. Also, if you're spreading a lot of pepper, be prepared to adjust the nut during the grinding process. But I agree. I like the exit. It's sleek and worn looking. I will write an update shortly.

This item arrived yesterday and appears to have been used. The inside of the top of the box that was supposed to hold the peppermilk in the box was all torn apart and didn't hold the grinder in place, the peppercorn grinder was dangling in the box. The small ball screw at the top that is supposed to set the grit of the pepper mill and keep it in the box has been twisted off and rotated at the bottom of the box.
