Nice and solid. but the salt mill didn't work very well to begin with. The pepper mill broke after about 16 months. Nice for decorating but not for cooking.

I had many other pepper and salt shakers but I needed to sort them. I am glad that my friend recommended this product to me. I highly recommend this product to the buyer.

Every time you use a grinder the top screw loosens and needs to be tightened again. The grind setting is inadvertently changed, and the grind in a salt mill is particularly difficult to control. They look good but are a nuisance, and the design means they leave the salt and pepper on the counter all the time.

We bought these salt and pepper grinders as a wedding present. The packaging is brutal. The boxes were dented and broken. They were accidentally glued together. We've had these grinders for about half a year, maybe longer. There's really no good way to control the coarseness of what you're grinding. It's not even apparent in the instructions. You can adjust it by loosening the button at the top and you can also adjust it with the ring at the bottom. The problem is that the button at the top keeps loosening so you can't know what you're getting. Overtighten the knob and nothing will come out.
