Review on Peugeot Paris USelect Stainless Pepper by Kevin Abner

Roughness is difficult to control

We've had these grinders for about half a year, maybe longer. There's really no good way to control the coarseness of what you're grinding. It's not even apparent in the instructions. You can adjust it by loosening the button at the top and you can also adjust it with the ring at the bottom. The problem is that the button at the top keeps loosening so you can't know what you're getting. Overtighten the knob and nothing will come out. Too fluffy and you'll end up with large chunks of pepper. I also had to re-tape the insides on one of them. Metal on the outside, plastic on the inside, attached with glue. It really doesn't look like quality. After a while, the grinders clog up and nothing comes out (although it may not be the grinder's fault). I say this, but I still end up pulling out a small glass bottle of McCormick Pepper with a little plastic windmill taped to the top. It's cheap, plastic, but has never failed me in getting plenty of ground pepper at any time. In the end we decided to try a different type of coffee grinder and we are very happy with it. This is the Modetro premium adjustable ceramic grit salt and pepper shaker set. With them, the rudeness stays where it's supposed to, and the person delivers the salt and pepper. No more constantly turning around to get some salt, not sure if you even have any.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
