Pfister 940097A Pfirst Handle Polished Review

Exactly what I need. Just had to find the brand name which is on the round shower faucet wall plate that covers the shower valve itself. Pfister Prize. Installation is easy. Just slide it over the stem and tighten the small hex bolt.

No way the heck could we open that screw for installation 😒 good. came with no instructions so we tried removing the screw from the bolt that is being sold. Yes, I researched the internet. There was no Allen key included, but I found one in my tools that worked.

replaces the ugly plastic handle with a Pfister spray at our price. The pen contained the necessary extension, which is screwed into the cartridge. The set screw under the handle is then used to lock the handle in place with a hex wrench. Great update!

Replaced the obsolete clear acrylic round PFister. It's perfect for my needs and just what I expected. Nothing fancy but easy to install and a lot easier to keep clean than the old acrylic. (sorry no picture before but if you have one you know what it is :-) ) Highly recommended if you are replacing the transparent round old style.

After many trips to the local hardware stores...plural...I finally found this description on Revain. It doesn't come with an allen wrench and none of my 12's will fit... so I'm working on how to tighten the set screw. Fixing a simple leak was a headache due to this pfu&$@ing part I had to break to remove and replace. Overall the quality is excellent and the item arrived in one day as described.

This is an exact match to what I have. (My originals are with a house built 14 years ago.) I was a little worried because there was no picture of the back, the most important part! So I've included some here. They tend to corrode internally and I had no idea how bad it was until I tried taking it off to replace the valve/cartridge.
