Good product but check the batteries

Bought this in April and the product worked fine until the batteries that came with it broke and ruined the product. It was outside of my returns window so I emailed the company to see if they could help and they did. I got a replacement PH meter that works fine but I checked the batteries before using them and they were rusty too so I removed the batteries that came with it and put in the new batteries I bought. I didn't want to repeat it again. So I recommend opening the meter to see theโ€ฆ

Excellent gauge for testing, measuring and checking

Comes in a nice case. Mix the buffer solution. Insert the meter while pressing the initial calibration button and you're done. There is no secret here. I've had mine for almost 6 months now and have used it about a dozen times with no problems. I think most people who complain about "lack of auto calibration" are confusing it with "ATC" or automatic temperature compensation, which is the main reason for this unit's value for money. It provides temperature-compensated sample readings fromโ€ฆ

An experienced chemist cannot make it work.

I am a pharmaceutical researcher. I've been measuring pH professionally for over 20 years of my life, using both far more advanced and far less advanced equipment than this. I bought this to get a more accurate pH reading in my jellyfish tank than the old fashioned color indicators. be. But I haven't even gotten to the point of comparing the results it gave me to what I got at work to see exactly how close that is. I couldn't even calibrate the thing. It seems to read the first pH buffer okโ€ฆ

Works fairly well with analytical instruments

This is the second PH meter I have bought. I bought one from another seller. It looked identical except for the body color. I'm assuming they're all from the same place, but that's just a guess. Anyway, it arrived with no problems. The first one I bought didn't work and wouldn't calibrate. Upon receipt I calibrated the lower pH range with distilled water. I had to do this twice so make sure you have two jars or jars or something, one for the higher PH and one for the lower PH in case you needโ€ฆ

WATER PH IS IMPORTANT TO YOUR HEALTH

Anyone concerned about the pH of the water they drink at home should invest in one of these. A new user should have several measuring cups on hand to add the powder (included) to calibrate the device PRIOR to use. After a few tries, you'll become a pro and see what the actual pH is of the tap water you drink and cook (and give to your dogs) and take the appropriate steps to correct it if it's 7 or is less or 11 or more. The optimal pH level of drinking water is between 8 and 10. An undercounter
