Initial quality assumptions were mediocre. I had to cut off the back end of the eyebolt to actually close the latch and the rubberized part of the lever had to be cut off to fit the pin in the hole (to keep the latch from loosening). Despite this, the metal turned out to be of good, durable quality. I mounted it on my trailer with the back door closed, hooked everything up and drove 3 hours into the mountains.
