Premium Aluminum Frame. The Halos Lux is milled from one single block of aluminum and anodized in Satin Black. High density LED. Light is spread evenly thanks to high density LED's and diffuser. There is no compromise on performance. Even high quality fans made from PBT material, like Phanteks' MP and SP fans, can now be illuminated. Sync RGB lighting. Sync the RGB lighting with any RGB equipped Phanteks case and motherboard. Compatible with Aura Sync, Mystic light, RGB Fusion. Mounting screws included. The Halos RGB Fan Frame can be mounted directly to the fan with the included fan screws or mounted to a radiator mounted fan using the UNC 6-32 radiator screws. Compatibility: 120 fan mounting. This is one of my favorite RGB devices for building computers.

. Add just a few millimeters of thickness. My main issue is that the Phanteks $10 Halos base kit doesn't come with a cable adapter to connect to the motherboard and for some reason Phanteks uses 4-pin JST connectors on their Halos. It's sold separately, but for $5, which means that if you can't find or make your own JST adapter, you'll either have to spend $5 to buy it, or buy the Lux version that contains the adapter. In that sense, it makes the Lux a very good value as you get the aluminum…

Fantastic lighting kits well worth the extra money.

Stop buying cheap RGB LED fans just for the lighting effect. Choose high quality Phanteks or Noctua, save your lighting with the Halos kit! This kit gives you OPTIONS. AESTHETICS: Do you like aesthetics? You will love it. When used with Phanteks fans, you get additional halo lighting thanks to the white blades used. Its subtle but really smooth effect doesn't look like flashy rainbow trash. COMPATIBILITY: Combine them with some high quality Phanteks fans, the RGB function works great with their

Great idea - computers and accessories

Nice aluminum feel. RGB has hot spots, but overall they look really good. Very easy to set up. Make sure your motherboard has a 4-pin RGB connector. You can attach it to Noctua fans to hide the ugly brown and beige tones. It actually looks pretty nice. Interestingly, they come with 4 REALLY nice heatsink screws. They're flatter than the screws Corsair packs in their AIOs. Careful!

Looks great on a fan with white blades. Works with ASUS ROG MB

Perfect fit for my Fractal Design Define R6's 140mm fan. The fan blades are white and the fan frame is black, allowing the halo frame to blend in perfectly with the interior. The wings beautifully reflect the color of the lights, it seems that the fan changes color. I am using this with an ASUS ROG motherboard and the motherboard runs Halo just fine.

Save yourself the hassle and just pair this frame with a good non-RGB fan.

I've looked everywhere for a good Aura compatible fan on my Strix motherboard but all the ones I could find either looked like I hadn't seen them, and had bad reviews or had they were not fully compatible with the motherboard for one reason or another. The only ones that met all my criteria were these Cooler Master fans: MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance RGB-120mm Quiet Case Fan, Hybrid Computer Case Fan, CPU Cooler and Heatsink. The big one was fine, but the smaller one was too loud to connect to…
