Both are defective.

I bought two of these. Each of them burned out the moment I plugged them in. That didn't happen with the one I bought from Home Depot.

This is a great bulb but very difficult to replace

This is a great bulb but very difficult to replace. Difficult to remove from bracket due to mounting notches. This is the only bulb that works in the lamp. Spring.

I'm just going for past experiences with this lamp. .

I'm just going from previous experiences with this pear. I installed it in my kitchen in 1987 and it finally blew this year and is the only ceiling light in my small NYC apartment. Fiction! Here's what I think of it, I hope this identical bulb lasts half as long!
