💡 Philips 424985 83-Watt PAR38 Halogen Flood Light: Dimmable, Long Life Bulb with Medium Skirted Base Review

The lamp burned bright enough but not for long, probably 3 weeks in total. For this reason I would not buy it again. Thumbs down.

Every night 4 of these lights are on in my garden. They are very bright. They last about 6 months. I've been using them for over 5 years.

Two of them provide sufficient lighting for our outdoor table tennis table. Brighter than currently available LEDs. Cheaper. And more energy efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs.

This bulb did not work when I installed it shortly after it arrived. The lamp may have been damaged in transit. Shipping packaging was not very good. The lamp rattled, sounding like a piece of glass or metal rattling loose in the bulb. I returned it and received a refund.

I bought this type of bulb a few years ago to replace our original outdoor halogen bulbs which had lasted over 20 years. I didn't know if I could find them anywhere. you know how it is But I was glad I can still find her on Revain. They don't have as many watts or lumens as our originals, but they seem to get the job done!

I gave the lamp 5 stars because these lamps are used many hours a day in our kitchen. The lamp gives off a bright light but can be dimmed if desired. The kitchen is dark and three are set in a recessed light cabinet above the worktops. The lamp has a narrow beam compared to the body and if you don't like that, an inexpensive extension cord can be attached to the lamp to widen the beam. Very satisfied.

Although in general these lamps can be quite good - if they are abstract - if they are in good and pristine condition, when you receive them you will find others in your reviews find that say they are concerned with lamp life. This is a real problem. You will find that others say that these bulbs arrived broken, which is another problem. Based on my experience, I would not buy these lamps. This is because I ordered 6 and 3 weren't ready to use right away.
