Decent performance when receiving low frequency FM stations

Bought this antenna specifically to receive a signal from WPVI in Philadelphia. This is an FM low frequency transmission that requires bunny ears. Overall it does a decent job, but antenna placement is everything.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not for everyone

The price is correct!

I connected these Philips antennas to my Samsung Smart TVs. I have to say I chose them because Phillips is a well known brand and they didn't let me down. The price was great! I bought Mohu from another store for $85 which caused a fit and I couldn't return it. If only I knew!

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons

Doesn't pick up many channels

I only have OPB with this antenna. I was very disappointed because I have neighbors who get a lot more channels with their antennas. I chose this one because it's a reputable brand, but I'm disappointed. OPB is clear and my kids love it. It's just not what I was hoping for.

No cable in AV accessories

This works much better than the flimsy plastic cables I had. The image is clear 95% of the time. One channel in particular has problems in the late afternoon. Looks better than flimsy plastic. I live in the suburbs of an average city so most local stations are only a few miles away. I cannot confirm distance. For my purposes it works great.

So cool I bought it twice!

Mom bought the first one for me and I bought the second one for another TV! Of course you get more channels when you're closer to a big city, but it's relatively easy to install and not too fussy - it holds the signal well and I RARELY have weather-related issues. With my previous antenna I had signal problems when I was in front of the TV and nothing else! Excellent purchase.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Neutral

Receives ALL my local stations

I used one of the popular flat antennas but it couldn't get all of my local stations. While most digital channels are UHF, some are VHF and cannot be received with a standard flat antenna. This Phillips antenna comes with a dipole antenna (rabbit ears) which allows access to VHF channels. I now have access to all my local channels in addition to other channels within my reach.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Better than GE or others for under $100

Better FM reception than any other brand I've tried and I've tried a dozen types of indoor antennas. This is my recommendation for FM reception with an indoor antenna for less than 100 euros. For best results, keep away from a wireless router or windows with metal grilles. And keep going until you find the sweet spot. Worth it.

  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great antenna! UHF & VHF Strong Signal

Years ago I cut the cable and used several different antennas back then. My Philips antenna arrived today, set it up right away and placed it by the window. Wow! This is the best so far! In the 3 years that I have lived here I have not been able to hire the local ABC affiliate and its other stations (MeTV and Laff). You can see in the photo they are strong now! I live in Maine and I'm about 27 miles from the tower of these stations through hilly country in a small town. All other stations sound

  • Cool
Cons
  • Useless Features
