Some of the extra features you often see on more expensive models weren't there, but for the price I paid I wasn't expecting them. It's pretty much what I expected - a budget DVD player that works. I've been using it fairly regularly for a few months now and haven't had any problems so far. If you are not willing to pay extra for some extra features, I recommend this player.

I bought the 701AT about 5 months ago and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap player although the Toshiba SD1600 sounds good. Anyway, I haven't had any major problems with it when playing regular DVDs. However, I'm an anime fan and sometimes on these low budget DVDs the player likes to skip back a split second before moving on to the next. However, this is easily fixed by simply rewinding a second, but it's annoying. Other than that, it's a good player.

I had problems with this machine almost from the start. First it started to fail in the first month, in the 2nd month it stopped working completely. in the middle of playback and ended when he turned the DVD off and then made a little noise and didn't respond to any buttons. We bought this DVD player for our bedroom at a fantastic price. I had my doubts and decided that if it was too bad I would just return it.
