I ordered 2 sizes of these bits for drilling shower tile. I used a drill press with a jig to keep the tile from moving and added some water. Go slow and the beat will make a perfect cut into the tile. I was very happy with the results. The price was reasonable even for one time use but the bits are still in great condition and I expect them to cut well in the future. Go slow, don't let the bit heat up and they work great.

I bought this to drill six 3″ wide, 1″ deep holes in the concrete steps leading up to my spa (I then turned out the centers). The concrete was about as hard as it gets, but this hole saw cut through all six with no problem - just take it slow and don't overheat the piece and you'll be fine. I was also impressed with the price - $10 delivered to your door in just a few days! Another option is to rent something for $50-$100, but it works.

This is a bargain at $. As long as you move slowly/slowly use plenty of water, it holds up pretty well. I had 4 holes (4 1/8 inches) for my custom shower/tub where I had to drill 1/2 of the porcelain and it held up great. It worked like a champ! This is unbeatable for $. Would I buy again. I've found that if you start the hole at high speed (I know, but only for a short time) at a 20-40 foot angle and then slowly change the angle to 90 feet, it works great.
