Good quality stand.

Although this stand is lightweight, it's strong and stable enough to provide good support for the 10 x 12 green screen I use during my Zoom sessions. Good value for money.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • General

Gets the job done: bars and stands

Good lightweight stand for the money. Not very strong, but suitable for lightning or a small candy bar with an umbrella. They are a little wobbly to carry a heavy modifier like a large softbox.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • It's ok

I wouldn't trust them with anything over 3 pounds

I don't know what kind of lamps I would trust these shelves. They are very light and cheap. Maybe it's ok with small speed boosts, but even then I wouldn't recommend traveling with them locally. However, they are great for my HTC Vive sensors. The 1/4-20 mounts above are handy for attaching ball heads to mount sensors.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Good but not great

Cheaper Stand: You get what you pay for

Cheaper stand and bargain on a better day, save money and invest in a better stand that has only metal hardware for the mounting/clamp and wing nut. . Mine broke just like the photo at the top of the reviews page, why waste time using them and risking my lighting gear? Should have looked more closely before buying. They are made like cheap music stands, where the wing nut (with a plastic cap) and clamping mechanism are also made of soft plastic that will break sooner or later.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • So far so good

Good racks with one downside.

The stand looks solid enough. I like the overall design of the leg mechanism for raising and lowering the height of the stand and folding for storage. The only problem I have is that I have a hard time keeping the stand at my chosen height because I can't tighten the knob that holds the legs in place enough so that it doesn't slip. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like if I turn it harder I'll break it. They need a different lock design that doesn't require a lot of effort to keep it in placeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Appearance

Better than I thought

worth every penny, especially if I save something, great for cheap field tripods at the moment. They are NOT SUPER HEAVY but suitable for a starter or field kit. Don't spend hundreds if they can do it until you're a little more established or just need something to help out in the field and they're easy. I use mine for lightweight 24" and 30" reflex umbrellas, LED lights and as a batten support for my backdrop. I wish they were smaller but I knew what I was buying. They're not the strongestโ€ฆ

Pros
  • handy article
