Not For Me - Rotary Power Tool Parts & Accessories

I felt this product didn't live up to expectations with its design. Polishing basically ended up like burned rubber. I slowed down the speed my coffee grinder was running and speeded it up to see if that would help, but either way it did little to nothing.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Ideal for jewelers on polishing wheels

I love these tools and they match my Foredom quick change handpiece perfectly. Commonly used by dentists, they are also excellent for finely detailed jewelry. If you don't have a quick change handpiece they will work with a reversible chuck handpiece, but not my Dremel without a special chuck insert I assume. They are great for cleaning up after the stone is set.

Don't trust the photos.

Although there were 26 drills, the shape and quantity does not match the photos. I didn't get any of the three grains of each shape. Shapes not shown were included, as well as other shapes and grains that were missing. I have 8 different shades of blue with 1 duplicate, 1 light pink, 10 mixed browns, 5 different shades of green, 1 red and 1 purple. It was a difficult choice between blue and green. If you need specific shapes or granularity, this pack is not for you.

I asked the same question as 7 people? why leave us hanging

first of all why on earth would anyone sell a set of multi colored rubber tipped drills where each color corresponds to a different grit without a grit chart listed on the product page, or with the product itself. That's a bad apple! I've asked them to update their list for you guys and they haven't done it yet. However, I received this information. On her: 26 pieces, including grains of different colors. Red - 80 grit; Green is 240 grit and Blue is 600 grit. Welcome back!

Cheap, works, grit is confusing

I've seen various comments on grit colors (Red - 80 grit; Green - 240 grit, Blue - 600 grit) but this kit contains Brown/Red/Green/ Turquoise/Blue and various shades of each. It did what I needed and was cheap. I was able to get decent mirror coverage with the blue dots. If granularity were mentioned, it would be an amazing value. These bits wore out fairly quickly when used on stainless steel. They really are made for brass/aluminum so it's not the bits. You can use petroleum jelly or other…

Great tip set for polishing small holes in glass

A lot of the bad reviews I've seen are from people who either don't know how to use them or ordered the wrong one. color scheme. But if you know what you're looking at, you can figure out what's what. I drill holes in glass and then use them to pre-polish the hole. A diamond in rubber bats this size is hard to find! So when you use them, water should flow over the denture. You can create a simple drip system with a milk jug and a knife and then just take it outside. or you can just hold it…

Odd assortment of power tool parts and accessories

Another review of the odd assortment of these polishing heads. I have the reds, blues and greens and there are 26 peaks as well as the browns? Looking closely at them, I saw that they appeared to be more flexible and less grainy than the others, so naturally I assumed it was a finer grained tip. Not the case at all. I think I found two tips in the pack that I can use that really match the product description. I think what is most disappointing to me is that after numerous customer reviews on…

Area? Hardly.

Well the description says this is a set of polishing heads. And while I haven't used them yet, I just opened this package from Amazon and wanted to share my first thoughts on it. For me, the assortment would, I hope, even mean the distribution of different cereals in the package. Or at least get as close as possible to a good assortment. I have 13 red (large), 13 green (medium) and 1 blue (fine). It just strikes me as something wrong. I mean technically it's an assortment but for what I use…
