We received this bulb early this spring to prepare for bug season and took it out of the box a week ago and it didn't work. I've had one of these lamps before and it worked well. However, the fact that we received a faulty bulb makes quality control an issue. So far only 50% of the bulbs I have received work.

Bug Light really works! I tried one and it was so effective I bought several more. They provide good light, which then lures and traps the bugs inside. You look good, if a bit unusual. Just screw them in like a lightbulb and they'll get the job done! I use them outside on the patio and near bedroom windows.

I need a light on my front door so I can see when I'm walking my dog after dark. I had a problem with moths flying around the world and then entering the house when I opened the door after dark. I wanted to try this light to see what happened. I didn't need a blue light zapper, I just needed a white light to keep the bugs away. This light has a little bit of blue light, but it doesn't kill the bugs, they just don't show up to begin with.
