The struts were easy to install and worked like clockwork. It's easy to find many ways to install videos online. It's so nice not to worry about the top gate falling down.

I thought it would take much longer to install. You could do that in 10 minutes. They appear to be a well made quality product and the price was way better than the auto parts store. I installed it in the tailgate of my 1997 Astro van. They come in pairs and fit left or right, it doesn't matter. You don't need to change the base where the cables attach to the sunroof. I just pulled the old ones out and screwed the new ones in. I highly recommend this product.

They worked great on the tailgate of a 1997 Astro van. It's actually easy to replace them. Before installing, match the new piston to the old one.
