Bought it for a sweet girl visiting from the city to record her adventures. It came in great condition. The only problem I have with diaries with keys is that they are easy to lose. So I made an elastic beaded bracelet and attached one key to that! Great for adolescent girl!

So the diary and the paper are descent quality but the lock is a different story. I bought this for my mum who loves all things pink and having to do with France, she was very pleased with it, including the size, the quality of the paper, and the thickness of the lines. However, the lock would not unlock, I tried both keys for her, but still it would not open, so I had to take out the lock and the entire lock mechanism which would not be easy to do without the tools I own. She is still happy…

This was a Christmas gift for my 10 year old granddaughter. She had asked for a diary with a lock. She was very excited and seemed to really like the diary. The design on the cover was whimsical, but not too childish and at the same time not to adult. I was delighted with the overall look and feel of the journal, and I hope she gets years of enjoyment out of it.

My daughter loves this diary! It was a bit more than I wanted to pay for a diary but seeing my daughters face light up seeing it made it all worthwhile! Definitely recommend getting this for your daughter!
