Avoid! Serious quality control problems.

If I could give zero stars, I would! I've spent hours trying to figure out why my vacuum won't hold the new mini split. I noticed that the solder joint on the adapter was cracked. After I fixed that, the system still couldn't get a vacuum. I removed the schrader valve thinking it was bad, but this thing has no end-to-end connection. I spent more money on this adapter labeled Mini Split Leader, it should have gone with the cheap one. Now we have two more days without air conditioning…

O-Ring Broken Seal on Air Conditioning Tools and Equipment

After spending a few hours trying to figure out why I couldn't maintain a vacuum on my Pioneer Mini Split system, I started insulating the parts. The end came finally to this adapter. Apparently I broke the o-ring and this is a very unique seal that I have not been able to find a replacement for. I wish Pioneer would have included extra spacers with the purchase as they are so fragile. I ended up buying another adapter at a local store where I was skeptical but it worked. I know the failure was

This adapter is a disaster x2

I bought this thing twice. First, the Schrader valve didn't push in when installed because the hole wasn't machined properly. You should have seen where he got stuck. So I returned it and bought another one. This second one required troubleshooting as the pin on the Schrader valve on the male side protruded so far into the mate that he couldn't push it down. It took me a little while to understand. But what pissed me off is that the seal on the female end got stuck in the split mini port and…

Leakage through the O-ring. Then from the stew. Get something better.

I bought this to have a wire and gauge kit with me, knowing I would eventually put the Mini in my garage. That summer, a moment came. I used nitrogen cartridges to press on the lines before vacuuming them. It wouldn't stand up to the pressure. All fittings soaped, no leaks found. After reflaring each joint AND still leaking. Soaped the adapter connector. It was an O ring. I had others of the same size so I changed them. When I added more nitrogen to the system a few minutes later, it started…

Works as it should - no leaks

Mini split vacuum charge adapter with no port / 16" SAE service ports. Attach this adapter using knurled pliers to tighten to to prevent leakage, but do not overtighten ie hand tightening may cause leakage and others, as well as use a set of manifolds or other gauges Before using this adapter, verify that you have a Schrader valve depressor was factory installed on the female end as some of them seem to come without them making it unusable. It worked as intended - hence the 5 star rating…
