It wasn't as big as I thought it would be and while it seems well made I don't think it lives up to the reviews I've read - it was a Gift even though it served its purpose. I probably wouldn't order it for myself as it doesn't have a lot of room to write.

As some other reviewers have pointed out, it smells strange the first time. It has since dissipated, which is good. The images hold up fairly well but sometimes fall off towards the middle of the album. It's not very important, but it annoys me a little. The plastic is a little brittle and the part attached to paper comes off easily if you're not careful.

I have four of these albums. I'm not a scrapbooker. I like to write notes or memoirs from a photo. For me the perfect photo album. I paste the photo into the lined area. I can write my notes next to the picture. I made one for our foster kids and will be using one for fine art photography and I have a couple of scrapbooks that are falling apart and I want to move the photos around.

The Pioneer brand is the best I have found in years. Other brands get ripped when you put pictures up your sleeves, but not Pioneer! So glad I found this and a few others in Amazon's selection. The book cover itself has a nice texture, but it also comes with a protective sheet that you can use or throw away. There is plenty of space for notes (approx. 2.5 x 7.6 cm) next to each photo compartment.

Much smaller than I expected. I was a bit disappointed with the size of this photo album. I think I should have looked at the dimensions a little more closely. It's not a bad album, but the insides are cheaper than I expected. The exterior is nice and even comes with a thick protective plastic case. I don't see the insides taking long.
