Excellent bridge building material

I use them for bridge building in a 5th grade class I tutor. I've bought several versions off Amazon and honestly can't tell the heavy weight from any other weight. So maybe they are all high density and just not mentioned in the description. Will buy again for my class next year.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Appearance

These strips are definitely not made for heavy use. My children built a bridge for the class. We used a mix of this balsa wood and some strips from a local craft store. Local balsa wood was much stronger. These strips were very thin and much softer. The price of both options was very similar. The quality was very different.

Pros
  • Kraft
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Bridge construction work

Arrived very quickly (5 days) and suits my needs perfectly. I agree there are a few thin strips in the package but the rest is great for our bridge building project. I know not everyone has had the same experience with these high density strips, there may be quality control issues. ? This was the best value I could find when shopping online for thin cork lamellas and I couldn't find what I wanted locally. I like the very long length of these strips. I'm glad I went for it despite the mixedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Wood work
Cons
  • Slightly dented

I ordered PITSCO 1/8x1/8x32 = 100 pieces medium (57470).

I ordered PITSCO 1/8x1/8x32 = 100 medium (57470) and hard (57469) packs. . According to the description of the product characteristics, the average weight of a strip should be 1.81 grams, so I calculated a total weight of 181 grams. I weighed both packs strip by strip to the nearest 1 using a digital scale. The weight of each strip in both packs was nearly the same. While I understand that individual strips may vary, Pitsco has to confirm that the hard pack density is consistent with theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • When in doubt
