🪁 Pitsco Heavy Density Balsa Wood Strips (100-Pack): Perfect for Precision Modeling and Crafts Review

I use them for bridge building in a 5th grade class I tutor. I've bought several versions off Amazon and honestly can't tell the heavy weight from any other weight. So maybe they are all high density and just not mentioned in the description. Will buy again for my class next year.

These strips are definitely not made for heavy use. My children built a bridge for the class. We used a mix of this balsa wood and some strips from a local craft store. Local balsa wood was much stronger. These strips were very thin and much softer. The price of both options was very similar. The quality was very different.

I ordered PITSCO 1/8x1/8x32 = 100 medium (57470) and hard (57469) packs. . According to the description of the product characteristics, the average weight of a strip should be 1.81 grams, so I calculated a total weight of 181 grams.
