🎧 Plantronics H31CD Starset: Clear Communication and Comfortable Headset for Enhanced Audio Experience Review

I bought this a little over a year ago to use as an emergency call center at work. He has done me a great service, but this week he decided to die completely. Nothing Nada! The text on the product page indicates a 2-year warranty. After contacting Plantronics, I found that the warranty was only one year and one month. The product broke literally 2 days after the warranty expired! I'll wait and see if Plantronics will support this or I'll have to throw more money away.

Long time user of this headset. I switched to the MS50 but only needed something more modest for Zoom calls. Was concerned before ordering as the photo shows a block headset and not the smoothly rounded H31CD. The product received is as expected, not as pictured. The description says the cable is 15 feet long (!?!?), but the actual cable between the headset and the quick connector is about 28 inches, as usual. The sound is excellent even with a cheap USB headset interface.

I ordered this because other Plantronics headsets offered at work hurt my ear or the officers complained that they couldn't hear me. I ended my work week with an open wound in my ear. This rumor doesn't hurt me, but the field units hear me fine. But even though I no longer have sores on my ears, it still hurts to wear them. The background noise is far worse than any headset I've had. He makes so much noise. I've tried everything to keep it to a minimum, but sometimes my colleagues can be heard…

Great headset, fantastic buy for the price. The headphones are soft and fit perfectly in the ear. The device comes with several earbuds of different sizes. My only complaint, and the complaint of many dispatchers, be it Plantronics or any other brand, is how uncomfortable the earhook is. You have to constantly adjust and adjust to feel good. I don't know why no manufacturer can fix this persistent problem. If it weren't for the discomfort over the ear, I would have given the product 5 stars.

I am a 911 dispatcher and used to use Tri-Star. I was concerned that these earbuds would be difficult to get used to. However, there are many different sizes of earbuds, so I was able to find an earbud so comfortable I could forget about it. The sound quality is good, both when sending and when receiving. However, the muff is bulky and falls off at least once per shift. (I wear glasses. Someone without glasses might not have this problem.) Almost a year later I am revising my rating from 4 to 5
