They are very useful. They prevent the bag from slipping down. You can turn the can upside down, then remove the rubber ring and collect the trash in a bag. It's super easy now.

The most important thing for me was the fact that the liners actually fit the cans so no rubber bands were needed to keep the liners secure. I keep them for possible future use.

Ideal for attaching a Merv 13 filter (smoke separator) to a 20" fan. 20 x 20 x 1 inch filters will fit and stay on as long as the fan intake is running. You will fall. One or two of these rubber bands will hold the filters in place and make changing them easier.

I would not buy this product, I have tried it on different surfaces and it does not stick to anything! I'm so disappointed that yesterday I went to so much trouble making the labels and then sticking them to the surfaces and this morning it's all curled up on both ends of the tape. Save money, look for another tape that might work for your label maker.
