Works well. Tried different solutions of car wash soap. Diluting with 1 soap to 1 water seems to work well. It foams but goes through the soap pretty quickly. It has a dial to adjust the amount of foam/soap used. I found the maximum setting best so I washed it a bit. After foaming the whole car, I used a higher pressure nozzle to spray the foam (the pinch-handle nozzle only let water flow out, not under pressure, after the foamer assembly was removed).
