The original 4 Player Shut the Box TM dice game that set the bar for all other versions. Enjoyed by 2 or more players in pubs across the world as well as in math classrooms to teach addition and probability. This is a smaller, travel version of our classic game, measures 8.5 x 8.5 x 1.25 inches; Features 10 wooden number tiles so more numerical combinations come in to play; The four sets of dice allow players to roll the dice at the same time which makes the game move faster and adds a higher level of competition and action. Heirloom quality craftsmanship, this game is constructed of solid hardwood with the playing surface covered in luxurious velvety felt for softer dice rolls. The underside of the game is also lined with felt to prevent table top scratches. Four different colors of dice are included, one color for each player. A beautiful gift that will be passed on to the next generation; Great addition to any household, classroom, vacation home or anywhere games are enjoyed. Preferred by teachers as more players can be engaged at the same time. Roll the dice and lay down any numerical combination of tiles that match your roll. Just keep on rolling until you can no longer match your roll on the remaining tiles. The lowest score wins the game. If you lay down all the tiles, then you win.

Why didn't we find this sooner?

Our family loves games and I like simple but complex games. It is great. You'll learn how to play it in about 30 seconds, and then you can challenge up to three other players to play with you. A very well made game, apart from the dice which can easily "get lost", is a single piece so it doesn't get scattered or lost (think most board games and missing pieces). I don't know why we didn't. Discover this game before!

Less than expected but still worth it.

Excellent game. Although really tiny for the price. But good quality and strong wood. I have small fingers and it's a bit annoying to grab dice from a small square holder when it's your turn, but not enough to stop me from playing. The blocks stay on top for the most part, but they're loose enough that when the little dice hit them, they fall straight down, and if you don't remember which of your numbers has already landed, you're left wondering which one will land . Flip up, the blocks are soโ€ฆ

Good value for money but bad on the go.

The whole family plays this game (43, 21 and 12 years old). This is one of our favorite places for family games. The quality is excellent. If you use reading glasses I recommend using them for the game as the dice are tiny as to be expected for the size of the entire game. I bought the travel version because I didn't know if we would like the game for the price and quality. It is great! The four of us are a bit small to sit at the dining table but that's to be expected as it's travel size. I'mโ€ฆ
