We wanted to fence off our playground as our 8 month old is out and about. That was great! This is a real tree and our little one can climb it to get up. It doesn't fall over, but it's also not 100% stable (when standing and leaning on it), so we're keeping a close eye on it. In general I recommend!

It's my fault as I'm sure it says so in the description but it's a stationary item. It doesn't fold up for easy storage or convert into something smaller. It must remain assembled and fully seated at all times. While it was of good quality and beautiful for common spaces like the living room, it is not very functional in the sense that you cannot easily put it away. You will always have this big thing in your living room.

I really wanted to like this gate but it's not strong enough for our family. We have four children (8, 6, 3, 2 months old) and I was looking for something that would give the child their own space. But these gates will not withstand a tug as the child learns to stand. I ordered this instead of other similar playgrounds because I wanted something that wasn't entirely plastic and I didn't want canvas/mesh material, I read those tears easily. This playpen is super cute and easy to assemble! But be careful, because not all parts have the same number of dowels. Some have 9's and some have 10's, so if you're not careful your pen will get uneven and you'll have to do it twice (like mine ☹️). The wood is so soft! I was concerned that bare wood would result in splinters, but don't worry about that now. The gate is quite difficult to open so it's good to keep the kids in line.
