I really wanted to like this gate but it's not strong enough for our family. We have four children (8, 6, 3, 2 months old) and I was looking for something that would give the child their own space. But these gates will not withstand a tug as the child learns to stand. And it won't resist older kids grabbing it, trying to open it etc. I liked the look and it was pretty easy to put together, but overall it's pretty cheap and I don't think it's worth investing in. We returned it and found a stronger metal gate.
