Fun, easy experiments

This was a gift for my daughter who immediately wanted to start doing everything the booklet describes. The instructions were easy to follow and the treats were a hit. My only complaint is that you are expected to provide a large quantity of the ingredients needed to conduct the experiments. I had to go and buy chocolate, candies and tapioca starch! I would also have liked more if there had been a detailed discussion of why these chemical processes take place and what to look out for. All in…

A little confusing, but the end product is great!

The instructions are in metric units and I think they should add normal ones but again the measuring cup is in metric units only. There is some frustration as you keep making small batches of gummies over and over again. Why? No reason is given, but it seems like doing enough to fill out the form would be a lot easier. However, the candy tastes amazing and has a very cute heart shape. Instead of saying "collect 2 bowls," they should say "2 small microwavable bowls." Because I don't know if you…

This is a regular training and education kit

As mentioned, the biggest problem with the kit is that you propose to start a recipe and find that half (or all!) of the materials not actually included kit (how hard would it be to turn on the rubber band?). Also, the kit is pricey in terms of content: $40 for a bunch of cornstarch and some gelatin. I think if you have the manual you can get all the ingredients for around $10. The instructions are pretty sparse (there is some interesting content that can probably be understood by most kids)…

I wasn't told the sizes and products are UK

I haven't given a gift yet so I can't rate the recipes or experiments at the moment. I opened the gift to see what products are expected in the kitchen. What surprises me, not pleases me, is that everything is done in metric units and uses products that we don't stock. Also for Walmart, powdered sugar and cornmeal are special order items. We have similar products (powdered sugar, cornstarch) but they are not the same. And what is called "jelly" in the cookbook, we call "jelly-o" in America…

Great kit! Great fun for kids and adults

Made amends for my grandkids when they visit. They are 8, 10 (three 10) and 12 years old. I like the fact that it has thoughtful materials. It comes with two booklets, Cooking Book 1 and Sweet Lab Book 2. One thing I would change about them is that I would make them a bit larger. Although they are not small. My eyes aren't what they used to be and even with more than one child, that would help. We made some common recipes including worms, juice jelly and lollipops. I liked the lollipops the…
