Top-Notch Performance Boost for Sporting Enthusiasts

As a sports and outdoors enthusiast I recently purchased this gem and it surprisingly exceeded my expectations. As a result of using this product, I found that it is durable, weather-resistant, and can withstand tough outdoor conditions. It is also packed with an array of functionalities that help track my performance progress while providing stellar heart rate measurements. Despite the high price tag, this product is well worth it and I would recommend it to any sporting enthusiast .the only…

Pros
  • Accurate GPS and heart rate monitoring for various sports activities.
Cons
  • Relatively expensive compared to other multisport watches on the market.

I would like to see maps for navigation, but alas. Tracks can be drawn not only in komud, but also in other applications for free. If you link your account, Strava will automatically transfer workouts. Generally happy with the watch. The battery keeps excellent at 13 hours of work, only 40 percent was spent.

Pros
  • Functionality, interesting training programs. If you take into account the cost of hours 32k is good enough. Body condition programs are very helpful in determining the right training (rest). The pulse sensor on the arm is quite accurate, there is a delay of 5 seconds + -. With an h10 pulse sensor, in addition to training in the gym, it is possible to transfer the pulse to the simulator and watch.
Cons
  • The rear glass of the pulse sensor is fragile, if it falls on the floor, it can break, the repair will cost around 8k, since the entire back cover is replaced. In time, about 2 months from the officials. Problems with counting the pool, I did not understand what dances with tambourines to do in order to correctly count the pools. The settings are all set correctly, but at some point he stops counting, they missed up to 500 meters.

Nice price, good quality.

Great device for training. You need it if you are training. This is not a smart watch. I do not set up notifications, nor music (by the way, unlike the Garmin 945 and 955, there is no storage in the watch), nor NFC (it is not here). Sad that the presence of a barometric sensor, the watch does not show the pressure. And this is important in the mountains for predicting the weather. There is no storm warning, although the watch, unlike the Vantage, is positioned as outdoor. Maybe the ates will…

Pros
  • After the Polar V800, this is a breakthrough, of course. Watches have a lot more pros than cons. This is clear. 1) Economical work in training mode with high positioning accuracy and heart rate reading both from the optics and from the chest sensor. The battery life is really very close to the declared in the warm season. 2) Very fast search for satellites and a chest sensor. He quickly realizes that you and the zhps entered the room, when you exit they pick up the signal. Never lost satellites in three months 3) Custom screens, workout tips, sleep and activity tracking. The polar flow app itself is the most excellent professional level tools (as far as the watch can track it professionally). If you want a guided workout device (I love that one!) the watch is for you. 4) Accurate pedometer. Suunto and Garmin are resting. Even on the V800 in the arena without zhps, the watch gave an error of up to 10 m per kilometer, taking into account hairpin turns 5) Various tests. I constantly used orthostatic, fitness (determines VO2max and quite accurately, judging by the running test), running tests - everything is considered quite correctly. 6) bracelet, case, sapphire display - everything is very well made 7) It counts the pools correctly, determines the style, SWOLF, takes the pulse data from the wrist quite correctly! (Unexpected). Works in water with chest sensors via Jim-link (only this signal breaks through the water column). 8) Loads the track quickly, drives well, but sometimes says that the direction is wrong if you move back and forth in one way. Draws a route profile and shows where you are. Knows how to lead home along the route traveled (not loaded in advance, namely the route traveled. That is, you will not get lost).
Cons
  • 1) Like it or not in the cold, even under a thin jacket, the battery runs out much faster. -12, covered with a thin windproof layer, put on a fleece for every hour -10%. Definitely need to hide in the heat! The miracle did not happen and the battery is not like in an irridium tracker, for example, which can be thrown into the snow and it will not sit down. 2) Unlike Harmins, this watch CANNOT be charged while exercising. Just finished the session. This is true if you are doing a long session or skiing/cycling/walking/jogging in the winter when the battery runs out faster. 3) I owned a V800 and then they removed a couple of good features. Such a downgrade: a) it is impossible to set up autopause during training (add, change, remove). Sometimes it matters. When you start a standard workout at a race, and you don’t need autopauses and you realize that part of the distance has already been recorded, interrupting it is not an option and you have to put up with what you have. b) Removed Heart Touch - when you bring the watch to the chest sensor and see the selected mode (for example, time of day). 4) Dumb sensor. Works like on old mobile phones, but works =). For fans of smart watches, this will be a disaster). Athletes don't care 5) In the shower, you need to block the screen, otherwise running drops cause false touches and the clock switches screens. But, since the screen is not super sensitive, you won’t get far through the menu). 6) I am often in the mountains and I need a) barometric pressure b) preferably a storm warning. Koros and Suunto have it, but not here. Baro 9 worked very well with the storm warning 4 out of 5 times - it helped us a lot. 7) You can not put points on the route and they are not visible on the track.

Not everything is so bad, the average purchase in quality.

If the above shortcomings are finalized, I'll give the clock five. In the meantime, the price tag on them is too high. Some pros: A good watch, in principle, is the same grit x, only they added a metal case on top of a sapphire crystal and backlight brightness adjustment, as well as additional tests that I personally do not use. The font is still the same small for eyes with low vision and the same small screen. If you are satisfied with the brightness of the backlight in grit x, where it used…

I often see comments about weak backlighting. In addition to various sports watches, I did not wear other smarts, maybe they have some kind of particularly bright screen, and so, the backlight and screen clarity of the polar, in my opinion, will be better than many others from the same category and purpose, or at least on the same level. The backlight is adjustable, it works automatically when the position of the hand changes, which is very convenient in the dark, when it turns on by itself and

Pros
  • Great sports gadget! It was made by athletes for athletes with an understanding of the nuances, but there are also flaws. Below I will tell you about my "pain" :) 1. The watch looks very good. 2. A very long-lasting battery, 40 hours with gps with a one-second ate and grater guidance - this is all close to reality, enough for 99.99% of starts. 3. Excellent as a built-in heart rate monitor, and chest. 4. Tests, training programs that you can either use ready-made or compose yourself. 5. A bunch of sports profiles, and not this miserable one, like some people have other winter sports instead of skis. How do you like it: roller skating or roller skating with wheels in a row, or orienteering skiing? 6. Relatively normal web interface with season planner. Mobile interface for four. The best web, in my opinion, was at suunto movescount, which they killed for some reason. 7. Step-by-step track guidance if you download it via Komoot. This is very convenient when the gadget notifies you in advance about turns. The notification comes to the current screen, there is no need to go into the screen with the track. 8. Compared to the regular version, sapphire glass has been added, several additional screens when there is no activity, such as sunsets / sunrises and altitude / compass, an altitude profile on the route, route scaling - which, to my surprise, was not in grit x. The clock was positioned for the outdoors, how can this not be the default? 9. Polar finishes the firmware and fixes the jambs, trackback appeared, which, surprisingly, was not on the grit x before, music control appeared.
Cons
  • 1. If the start and finish are in the same place, and you have track guidance running, then it may happen that after the start you immediately finish. The biggest flaw of this watch could be to make a logical protection so that the finish does not work a minute after the start. Previously, it was necessary to restart the activity, now only to restart the tracking on the track, although this has been corrected. There is a function to start the track from the beginning of the route, but there is a nuance that if the organizers set the starting point of the route 30 meters from the starting point, then in order to start guiding along the track, you first need to get to this point. In general, as long as you're lucky, you may have to restart guidance on it on the route. 2. There can be a maximum of 4 fields in training, sometimes I would like 5. 3. It is sometimes inconvenient to read notifications that come from a mobile phone, if you didn’t read it right away, then you need to pull it out with a touchscreen that works every other time, it would be better if this function was activated with a button. Synchronization and notifications work fine, here they write about such jambs without apparently understanding it. 4. Since there is no map in the watch, it would be great if you could put waypoints in it. 5. When the screen is locked during training, the screen is completely blocked, you can not scroll between other screens while protecting the watch from accidental pressing and stopping during activity recording. For example, when using sticks, you can accidentally press a button and stop the activity, there is a lock for this, and so, in order to go to another screen, for example, from a pulse to a track, you will have to unlock the watch. These are all nuances that most buyers will never get to, but athletes use it and I can compare it with the convenience on other similar gadgets.

Such full hours!

I really like this watch! Lots of custom display fields let me always have data at hand. Using weather and altitude widgets and climbing hills are very useful features that will help you plan your fitness accordingly! And of course the most accurate heart rate training data I've ever used. I even use my hourly timer when I grill :-) It feels very firm but it's not too heavy and the glass is super strong...God knows I passed all the tests without scratching it. Can't recommend this watch enough!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
