Faulty Ballast Renders System Useless

The industrial and scientific ballast failed within two months of use, causing the entire system to malfunction. The UV light no longer works, leaving us with unfiltered water..

Ballast set EB-0624. Security issue - not recommended.

This is a review of the unit and not my experience with this manufacturer. My existing EB-0624 ballast failed on an old Polaris UV-1C unit. However, they don't appear to be making or selling the EB-0624 units anymore. EB-1024 does not go well with the UV-1C unit. It's like putting a black cover over where the lamp is and praying you don't pull it all the way out. The cover does not fit properly and therefore does not prevent the lamp from slipping out.
