Works but requires effort

The new double window had a scratch about 4 feet from a grinder used for finishing. The buffer wheel on the drill with a wet slurry of the compound removed about 90% of the scratches after about 4 hours of operation. Pressure has to be applied, so it may not work if the scratch is in the middle of a 5X6 window.

  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Reliability

Buffing and buffing wheels didn't suit me

Very difficult to use. The time it takes to grind glass is endless. It is impossible for this mortal to make it smooth without scratches and veils. Chances are you'll go through all the pads before you see any improvement. My results came from testing the kit on a glass hand mirror. Don't use it for something you care about before testing it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other tools

I have seen a number of videos and posts online from various YouTube videos after wanting to get rid of streaks on my windows as they have gotten bad I couldn't see anything from my windows. 30 minutes at the window and the glass looks like new on all fronts! I'll try this out on a few other projects I'm doing for sure!

Dirty and not working

Dirty and not working. I got scratches on the glass of my Ford truck because of the sealing. Tried without sandpaper first, didn't work. Later I used sandpaper to remove the scratches and then electricity. The remaining sandpaper removed the scratches and left a dull appearance. The powder did nothing. Now the window is cloudy and I don't know how to remove it other than replacing it with a new window.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Appearance

A bag of cerium oxide powder, polishing pads and polishing pads were sent together in padded bubble wrap, not a box. During shipping, the tip of the metal rod on the polishing wheel appears to have pushed through and punched a hole in the cerium oxide bag, causing the cerium oxide to burst out of the bag and coating the ENTIRE SET in powder on all polishing pads and polishing wheels. After opening the envelope, I immediately requested a refund from Revain and sent the kit back.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Worked fine since I followed the process.

The kit worked very well on a windscreen that was badly scratched by the wipers. The tracks were almost completely removed and the car became much more tolerable for night driving and night driving in the rain. I used the powder first as a test, then ended up using the second smallest disc, then the thinnest disc and then the cerium oxide mix for the fastest results. I used soapy water to lubricate the grinding wheels. I just used a cordless drill for the driver's side and a dual-actionโ€ฆ

Works as advertised but takes time

I bought a new car and obviously wanted to keep it clean. After a week of driving, I went to clean the windshield of insect entrails. I used a regular kitchen sponge and used (what I thought) the slightly rough side of the sponge. When I was done, I got in the car and noticed about a dozen scratches on the windshield where I had removed the bug guts. Who would have thought that an ordinary kitchen sponge could scratch glass. I took it to a windshield repair shop and was told there was nothingโ€ฆ

Works very well despite other negative reviews

So I would like to start by saying that this product works very well if you take the time to watch some videos and follow the process. As for me, I somehow got some scratches on the windshield of my new BMW. I don't know how they got there, but I could easily feel them by running my fingernail over them. Luckily those scratches were in the 4x6 area. I used a combination of an electric drill and an angle drill. I started sanding with 320 grit (I was a bit apprehensive about starting with 100โ€ฆ
