Their overall response is very bright and clear (but high frequencies can sometimes lose definition?) almost no bass (depending on recording and/or music style) with a flat signal (no EQ). These speakers are best used in conjunction with some mid-bass/woofers and/or subwoofers.

Excellent speakers, crystal clear sound. Got four of these (ordering two as they come in pairs) for my 2014 Kia Optima. Not much to improve the bass, but the clarity is phenomenal. Supplied with a pair of grills and all necessary hardware. Make sure you don't need a speaker adapter, I need one for my specific vehicle. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are not connected to an amplifier, so the bass is just a tiny notch above factory.

Bought these speakers less than a year ago to fit my boat. The boat goes out once a weekend which means the boat has been out on the water less than 20 times, I have boat cover all year round. One of the speakers started acting up thinking it was still under warranty, named Polk, they denied the claim because Revain's third party vendor is not an authorized retailer. So be careful! Contact Polk first as they do NOT offer a warranty.

High quality speakers that sound great even without an amplifier. To be honest for the money they will be hard to beat. Shelves are usually "smart" and there are no exceptions. I did find that I turned the volume down a lot due to ear fatigue, but I'm sure the amp will at least partially remedy that. Anyone with sensitive ears or mild hearing impairment should look for speakers that fall on the "warm" side of the spectrum. All in all five stars! I won't blame them for my personal sound…

No bass as stated in other reviews. I used a 2011 Kia Optima and one of the speaker adapters available from Revain. The adapter wasn't needed, he held the speaker where he wanted, marked the holes. I drilled holes and screwed them directly into the speaker enclosure. There are no problems with depth, there is plenty of space. And the door removal tools only cost $8, not $80-$120 for installation. Installation took about 45 minutes, so don't be afraid to install it yourself. The money is better…

I bought a new van and was completely disappointed with the speakers that came with it. Those were Quest 6.25" speakers. $5.00 each and if for some reason you want to replace it with the same thing. Oh my god no. So I went shopping and shopping and picking them out. I have to admit that I did was a little skeptical but when I finished the install and turned on the stereo there was nice noises.I've tried all types of music and they all sounded great.The bass is there but no subwoofer.I still…

I bought these for my 9th generation Honda Accord Sport. Installation was a breeze thanks to the optional speaker brackets and wire harness adapters. Your tweeters are a bit weak. The angled tweeters on these speakers help direct the sound waves a bit. Rich basses and mids. I installed a pair of Polk component tweeters (with the high pass filters on) in parallel to boost the high frequencies and it was amazing. In general I am very satisfied with the product.
