When replacing a trailer socket, the retaining tab on my 20-year-old 7-wire connector broke off. This is a great solution. However, be aware that the colors of the wires in your vehicle may not match the colors of this connector. I simply bypassed the connector that was inserted into the original wires by position, not color.

Direct replacement for my 2012 F250. My wiring harness was damaged right at the connector and this is the exact same connector that fits straight into the double connector on Ford vehicles. The colors of the wires are different, so when soldering a new connector, you need to pay attention to the location of the contacts, not the color, but the quick and easy repair that plugs into the factory connector.

Great product, delivered quickly and arrived undamaged. I will be using this to rewire my trailer. Works well with HM40975, however the cable color coding is slightly different. Here's what the braid is: Red - turn left and stop - 14 gauge. White - ground - 10 gauge. Blue - electric brakes - 12 gauge. Green - turn right and stop - 14 gauge. 14 gauge

If this is indeed a custom installation please read/refer to the wire color codes. RED, NOT YELLOW, turns on the left turn signal/brake light. I'm still scratching my head as to why they coded that pigtail appropriately. I was sure I connected it correctly with the 4 wires I have (yellow, green, brown and white), but it's not. I added more time to my setup by crawling back under the car to fix it. PITA, otherwise a very good product.

I bought this for a 2012 Ford E350 van. My factory wiring harness was damaged and the connector was removed. It fit perfectly. Very high quality assembly, thick long wires. Whether or not your vehicle was equipped with a seven-prong trailer seat belt, you should buy one. I can't say enough good things about it. The only thing to remember is that there is no round 7 pin connector for your trailer. This must be purchased separately.

So this is another Revain comeback that's not Revain's fault. There is a manufacturer. Trailer wiring has been standardized for over 40 years. This wiring harness does not use the same colors. I'm not going to figure out 6 colors of wire harnesses, I'll go back and buy the one that matches the colors. It's not that difficult, most people know the 4-wire "white-green-yellow-brown" and the 7-wire with blue, red and black. This harness completely messed up that standard and used wires at random. I

I have a 2011 Ford F150 with tow package; 7 blades and 4 wires are flat. This cable set fits snugly into an existing connector or when replacing.
