Description of Poly-Bio-Marine Fish Aquarium Filter Media Pad, 3-Pack, 4” x 8”, by Poly Filter

For Fresh Or Saltwater - The Poly Filter works in both fresh and saltwater marine environments. The Poly Filter will not break down due to salt and will keep all marine environments clean and balanced. Color Changing Technology - The filter changes color as it begins to catch pollutants, letting the user know what’s in the water and when the filter needs replaced. Changes different colors for different chemicals. Keep Cleaner Water - Since the Poly Filter removes both chemical toxins and organic waste, the water stays clear without needing changed as often. Keep your tank cleaner, longer. Fits In Most Filters - Easily fits into many common aquarium filter styles. It can be used with a conventional power filter, plastic undergravel filters, and canister-type power filters. Increase the cleaning power of the system you already have. Unique Chemical Filtration - Made from a patented material that filters excess pollutants while leaving trace elements necessary for the survival of your tank. Poly Filter gently removes excess medication after it takes its effect.

The best filters for fish and aquatic animals

The best filters on the market! I've been to a few aquariums to wear them and sell them for $15 each so these 3 packs are a lot cheaper. These filters helped me when I realized you couldn't get a replacement for my filter set that came with my tank. Also, I have well water and was struggling with acidity so I had to use a sachem neutralizer to stabilize it and they removed all the bad stuff from the water as well as phosphates etc from the water caused by the sachem product , and helped me…

Pros
  • Color changing technology. The filter changes color as it begins to trap contaminants, letting the user know what's in the water and when the filter needs to be replaced. Changes different colors for different chemicals.
Cons
  • Appearance

Very valuable! Aquarium Pumps & Filters

This filter is fantastic! I don't put it in a canister filter, I just cut off a piece and drop it straight into the water in my freshwater tank. It works great and helps me buy time when I need to do a water change but don't have time at the moment. I like to use it directly in the water so I can "see" what's going on by the changing color. I also use it in the same way when I need to remove a medication. One thing to keep in mind is if you're adding fertilizer or minerals, the package says you

Pros
  • Keep your water clean. Because the polyfilter removes both chemical toxins and organic waste, the water stays clean without the need for frequent replacement. Keep your tank cleaner for longer.
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Highly Recommended

Highly recommended by Rachel O'Leary (Queen of Nano Fish and Inversions) so I ordered a few, quickly cut a postage size square and tossed it in all my aquariums except the one that was curing. After reading the back cover I realized it would get rid of the drugs. The back says dark brown corresponds to tannins/humic acids and light brown that turns to dark brown corresponds to organic waste. So after a few days I see that the squares are such a brownish color. Now I'm wondering how much tannin…

Pros
  • Fits Most Filters - Easily fits many common aquarium filter types. It can be used with conventional mesh filters, plastic bottom filters and canister-type mesh filters. Improve the cleaning performance of your existing system.
Cons
  • Little Stuff
