Good floorstanding loudspeakers for vans.

If you're looking to replace the 5" Magnadyne RV speakers, these are a lot better for an additional $20. Much better quality and they still fit thin RV sidewalls.

Pros
  • Very good value

  • Mostly good, but...

Exact Match OEM Aquatronics

speakers as is. Nothing spectacular. However, they fit right up to the screw holes in my 25 year old Aquatronics speakers on my boat, so they plug in and work. The installation literally took 5 minutes. They were a little pricey for what you get but the ease of installation was worth it. The sound quality isn't the best, but as I said, these speakers are designed to allow me to listen to the radio on my boat while I'm fishing, so I'm not interested in heavy bass or highs.

good speakers: marine electronics

I have a pair of omnidirectional speakers on my pontoon boat that have worked great for 12 years and still work great. My other speakers that came with the boat were falling apart so I ordered these polyplanar speakers to replace the faulty ones. The speaker cutout for my old speakers was 5 inches. The neckline size for her should be 4 3/4. You worked in a 5" hole, but you must center them perfectly or one of the screws will miss the mounting surface and go into the cutout. Once installed they…

Superb 8 ohm speakers with everything you need for hidden installation.

Speakers required to replace two speakers that were missing covers. I confess that I only needed them for cosmetic reasons, to make the ceiling look better. So I don't know how they sound because I didn't plug them in. Installation is easy and all the brackets are included for easy recessed installation in drywall and wood ceilings. You can check the required ohms value on your receiver. I remember from the old days that many had a 4 ohm speaker connection. This has 8 ohms. You can't mix and…

First set lasted 14 years

I just ordered a new pair of these speakers for my boat. I only did this because the first set I bought 14 years ago was finally worn out. The speakers themselves actually still work and I only replace them because the grilles have worn down over time in the sun. I've gotten a lot more of them than I think has a reasonable lifespan. These speakers ran 24/7 outdoors in sun, wind, rain, hail and snow for 14 years, then were exposed to sunscreen, spilled drinks, hits from winch handles and…

Check everything! for marine electronics

The speakers sounded good and were the same size as the ones we replaced. But the large round speaker holes that were already cut in our ceiling were a bit too big, and the four screws on those speakers are further in than the ones we replaced, so we still haven't installed them permanently because you can do you can not screw them on. them in the air. However, once installed, they fully cover large openings. It's not really the speakers' fault, and there was quite a bit of hardware and screws…
