Not what I thought

I ordered this phone because the description said it was a "full duplex analog phone for simultaneous two-way calls" and that it"works with any analog phone. This led me to believe it could be used without being connected to a computer, which it isn't. The speakerphone replaces your PC's microphone (no big deal) and your speakers (not cool if you're also listening to music or watching movies with quality external speakers.) Discontinued Polycom still works fine

These Lucent/Polycom Soundpoints work great. In general, much better than any speakerphone. I had to connect it to my AT&T Syn J SB67158 phone that I use at home. AT&T has a pretty good speakerphone, but sometimes people can't hear me very well. This is usually due to poor line conditions, or they are wearing headphones that muffle the sound, or the headphones are not properly adjusted. When this happens I turn on the Sound Point and the volume increases along with the clarity. The problem is…
