Attention Fimo people

This book met my expectations! This book is so great and so educational. Donna explains the do's and don'ts and everything in between. So many interesting things popped into my head while reading. This is an updated version of an old book she wrote and it was so interesting that I bought the old book as well. You will really learn a lot from this book and everything Donna has written. Thank you Donna for sharing your inspiration and letting us know what works and what doesn't. John Drummond. PS

There are never enough hours in the day for these beautiful projects.

I just got Donna Kato's Creative Surface effects. I really like this book as I love the strong Asian art and Art Nouveau influence. The colors of her designs are soft and bold and I love her patterns. I love this book because the drawings are pretty much art. The design is rich yet bold with unique patterns. The techniques are well demonstrated with both pictures and clear instructions. This is not exactly for beginners as it assumes you know the basic techniques of working with polymer clay…

Excellent for paper and papercraft

Featuring photographs by her husband Vernon Ezell and a foreword by Carol Duvall, Donna Kato's new book covers a wide range of techniques and styles. Kato's work defies categorization and includes nostalgic pieces, contemporary pieces, whimsical items, Asian-inspired pieces, and even sculpture. Her versatility is amazing. Her teaching skills are remarkable and through the many photos we see her impeccable skills in action. I was particularly intrigued by their brocade technique and the…

Excellent overview of audio engineering and basics

When I bought this book I was completely new to working with audio and was aiming for the middle class. I was totally enthusiastic and was able to start the class with some knowledge and understanding of working with materials. I am in awe of Ms. Kato's talent and find the techniques more difficult than they appear. That being said, it's a great combination of many techniques that make working with polyclay so enjoyable. Ms. Kato lists several types of clay, inks, paints, and other products…

The fantastic Donna Kato does it again with this book!

I am a professional researcher at heart, so when I delve into a subject I delve deep and do not ascend until I have exhausted the field. Right, here's what I made out of polymer clay. I think: If I'm going to spend a lot of money on tools and accessories, I'll study this topic so I can understand technically what's what. As with most artistic mediums, success and high-quality results depend on the artist/craftsman's understanding of technical issues. That's where Donna Cato comes into my life…

Donna Kato Grade is in Your Hands

Here is a review I also posted on my Polymer Clay Review blog [.] Yes, another 5 star book. Are there any books I don't like that much? Yes. Were they recently released? no It's been a decade—yes, a decade—since Donna published her first book, The Art of Working with Polymer Clay. This second book brings us to Donna today. Her style is elegant, her methods are innovative and her instructions make her designs accessible. I took two lessons from Donna. When I first started clay modeling I even…
