This product was the only one i could find that was a metal angle bracket. Plastic could be broken off and your camera stolen. There are two versions of this floating around. You can't really see the mount in the photo, but that's a good thing. We have a double door and because if the framing being directly against brick it was always hard to get a good angle on the video doorbell. This mount shipped quick, fit well and was very easy to install with the ring doorbell.

Worked very well for our situation. We have a narrow door frame that did not accommodate backplate. This allowed us to offset backplate and still attach via hardwire.

If your trim is too small get this! It saved me from having to sand part of my trim off around my door. I have a ring 2 and it was never going to look right installed where the original doorbell was without this piece!

This bracket is just what I needed to installmy Ring Doorbell 1 to the vinyl siding on myhouse. I highly recommend it. May not be as easy to use as advertised!

If your putting it on curtain siding it wont move had to put other stuff behind it so its not looking at the deck roof and not where its supposed to be but also dont know how it all works cause dont have wifi yet in my new house.

I purchased this to help protect my ring pro doorbell on my back door since there is no porch roof or awning. It’s on a walk out basement also so the roof eaves are basically 2 stories up and offer no protection from rain or snow. We’ve had a lot of snow this winter and it just piles up on this shield. It doesn’t block the camera view at all either.

I thought this item was made out of metal. But was surprised to find it was really plastic. I suspect it will last maybe a year in the hot sun before becoming brittle and breaking. For the price it should have been made out of metal. If I knew it was plastic I would not have paid more than $5.00, or just made my own.

When my Ring doorbell arrived, it was obviously not going to fit in the place my old doorbell was; the trim was just too narrow. One of the highly rated reviews said this was good solution for narrow trim. It is.

Works well to keep rain off the lens, causing motion alerts. If you are using a Pro2 doorbell, this is a bit oversized. I used the adapter plate that came with the doorbell on top of this shield to make the appearance better.

Excellent product for your ring doorbell made of metal and also a magnet for the plate that comes with your ring doorbell it's well worth the money very satisfied.

This is a really nice / easy to install mount. I do wish it had something to protect the charge wire. I'm not subtracting a start though cause they show the mount plain as day and I knew it didn't have that but it would be a nice upgrade if they could figure it out. Other than that the metal is solid and once tightened it won't budge. Holds the camera very steady even when pressing the doorbell button.

i needed something added that would allow me to attach my ring camera to my siding. this was awesome and did exactly what i needed.

Be warned, the mounting plate that they show on the second image, as step "2." does not come included with this product. It is impossible to mount the Ring 2 doorbell to this product without the use of a mounting plate. You *can* use the angle plate that came with your Ring 2, but, some people may not want a 5 degree angle, and the added bulkiness. Also, it won't fit the wedge plate that comes with your Ring 2 as they suggest. It only works with the up/down angled plate, not the left/right…

I purchased this item with the assumption that Prime meant two day shipping however I soon realized that the item was shipping from China and would take an extended amount of time to arrive. It took three weeks. By that time I had purchased a different product. POPMAS was gracious enough to honor my return and have made things satisfactory. This product is great for Mounting your doorbell to siding. The product is also made of metal so it's durable. Impressive for such a low price. If mounting to siding is your only option, this is the product to make it happen!

Worked great for my Ring Video Doorbell (1st gen). Solved my issue with getting my Ring Video Doorbell to fit near my door frame. I have a very narrow space between the wall and door frame to put a door bell. This bracket helped my Ring fit and angles perfectly. Easy to install. Didn't Wire install Ring but using battery.
